VOX has placed the SEPI at the center of its judicial offensive against the Government, considering that the public body acted during the pandemic as a “platform for corruption” through the distribution of millionaire bailouts to private companies.
The head of the VOX delegation in Brussels and national legal coordinator, Jorge Buxadé, announced in Punta del Moral (Huelva) the filing of a lawsuit against the president of SEPI and several officials before the investigating courts of Madrid.
The lawsuit for the rescues
The formation denounces possible crimes of criminal organization, influence peddling, prevarication, and embezzlement for the bailouts granted during the coronavirus to companies such as Plus Ultra and Air Europa. Buxadé assured that VOX expects the "immediate admission" of the lawsuit and warned that it will continue demanding responsibilities "in the courts, in the institutions, and in the streets".
Criticism of Sánchez and the WHO
During his appearance, Buxadé also lashed out at Pedro Sánchez for the reception in Andalusia of a ship related to hantavirus cases, accusing the Executive of “putting the health of Spaniards at risk” by following the guidelines of the World Health Organization, whose performance during the pandemic he questioned again.
The VOX leader also demanded explanations about the masks contracts, the alleged overpricing during the pandemic, and the businesses linked to the Government's president's circle. He also demanded transparency about the massive regularization of illegal immigrants that, as he denounced, the Executive is preparing. "It is the least transparent and most corrupt government," he concluded.
