Andalucía Trade celebrates between May 28 and June 1 the XI International Meeting of Wine and Spirits Buyers within Vinoble, the XIII International Exhibition of Noble Wines, which takes place in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz). The event brings together 46 Andalusian wineries of wines and spirits and 27 importers and buyers from 20 countries, who will conduct more than half a thousand commercial meetings.

For the implementation of this initiative, Andalucía Trade once again counts on the support of the Regulatory Council of the Denominations of Origin Jerez-Xérès-Sherry, Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda, and Vinegar of Jerez, as reported by the Junta in a statement.

At the Council's headquarters, its president, César Saldaña, gave a master class on the wines of the Cádiz denominations to the international delegation, which also made visits to Bodegas Gutiérrez Colosía and Grupo Osborne.

The head of the Promotion and International Network Area of Andalucía Trade, María Lara, highlighted during the official reception of the commercial mission the "relevance" of Vinoble and this meeting as "an essential meeting point for professionals in the sector of fortified and sweet wines from the five continents."

In this regard, she emphasized the importance of bringing together 27 companies from 20 countries in Jerez, who will hold "more than half a thousand meetings with half a hundred Andalusian wineries" these days, as part of a program that combines technical visits, B2B meetings, and attendance at the Vinoble 2026 fair.

Lara acknowledged the collaboration of the Regulatory Council and highlighted "the history, uniqueness, and unique production methods" of Jerez wines, while reiterating Andalucía Trade's commitment to the international expansion of Andalusian companies and the creation of new business opportunities.

On the other hand, the general secretary and executive director of Fedejerez, Patricia de la Puerta, emphasized the importance of this action to "continue promoting the international projection of wines and brandies from the Marco de Jerez."

In the same vein, she thanked the joint work with Andalucía Trade and the Regulatory Council to make the project a reality, expressing her confidence that the buyers' stay in Jerez will serve to generate "new business opportunities and strengthen commercial relationships" with the wineries of the Marco.

The president of the Regulatory Council has also expressed his aspiration that attendees take advantage of this introductory and initiation session to Sherry wines, designed to broaden their knowledge of "unique and extraordinary wines" and foster "complete immersion in the wine-growing culture and tradition" of the region.

Saldaña has also acknowledged the involvement of Andalucía Trade in the organization of this reverse trade mission, as well as the support of Fedejerez and the participation of all the professionals who traveled.

Boost for the export of Andalusian wine and brandy

The aim of Andalucía Trade is to facilitate Andalusian companies specializing in wine and brandy to present their catalog of products and services to importers, distributors, and specialized store chains, in order to open new business lines.

The wine and alcoholic beverage sector in Andalusia has increased its exports by 4.5%, reaching 71 million in the first quarter of 2026, a historic record. Between January and March 2026, Cádiz has led Andalusian sales with 82% of the total and 59 million, a figure never before achieved in this period.

During the meeting, Andalusian companies will hold meetings with international agents selected by the public agency from Germany, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, France, Guatemala, the Netherlands, India, Ireland, Japan, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Morocco, Peru, Poland, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Turkey, the United States, and Uzbekistan, markets that offer "business opportunities".

Overall, this represents 43% more countries compared to the previous edition, increasing from 39 to 46 at Vinoble 2026.

In addition, Andalusian wineries have an exhibition area to showcase their products, while international buyers visit various facilities of interest. Both producers of fortified wines and still wine wineries from all over Andalusia participate in these activities.

The buyers' agenda includes more than 540 B2B business meetings between Andalusian wineries and international buyers at the Claustros de Santo Domingo, a forum designed to promote new commercial opportunities and market openings.

During the weekend, participants will continue to deepen their knowledge of the province's winery landscape through visits to various wineries and Vinoble.

Reverse mission with European sommeliers

In parallel, between May 31 and June 2, Andalucía Trade will carry out an inverse commercial mission under the name "Sommeliers Europa", in which renowned international sommeliers from the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Poland will participate.

After their arrival in Jerez and Seville, these experts will attend Vinoble on May 31 and June 1, with individualized agendas according to the tastings chosen. They will also carry out technical visits to Bodegas Tradición, Bodegas Lustau, and Estévez, with the aim of delving into the uniqueness of the wines from the Marco.

The program will conclude on Tuesday, June 2, with a masterclass given by the Director General of the Regulatory Council, César Saldaña, focused on the Denominations of Origin Jerez-Xérès-Sherry and Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda.

This action aims to connect the supply of Andalusian wines and fortified wines with intense international demand.

Vinoble, which is held biennially, is promoted by the Jerez City Council and has the collaboration of the Regulatory Council. Each day brings together numerous professionals from the wine, restaurant, and hospitality sectors, as well as buyers and distributors.

In the current edition, a total of 46 wineries from seven Andalusian provinces have had the support of Andalucía Trade at Vinoble, an increase of 17.9% compared to the 2024 edition, when 39 participated.

The organization of this action by Andalucía Trade is co-financed with European Union resources through the P.O. Feder of Andalusia 2021-2027, with a community contribution of 85%, or through any other European program capable of supporting this initiative.

Tradition, Identity, and External Expansion of Andalusian Wine

The Andalusian wine sector boasts a long history linked to the production and commercialization of wines, especially fortified, liqueur, and special sweet wines, whose personality is intimately associated with the climatic, historical, and social conditions of the region.

Andalusia has Denominations of Origin of recognized prestige such as Jerez-Xérès-Sherry, Montilla-Moriles, Condado de Huelva, and Málaga and Sierras de Málaga, which concentrate a large part of the production.

With more than 25,000 hectares of vineyards and hundreds of wineries spread mainly across Cádiz, Córdoba, Huelva, and Málaga, the sector is consolidated as one of the pillars of the Andalusian agri-food industry.

Throughout 2026, actions are planned such as the organization of tastings of fortified wines in the United Kingdom, tastings of wines of different styles in Poland, and participation in the Wine Complex International fair in Tokyo.
