The Corts Valencianes will see their budget increased to 37.3 million euros in 2026, which represents an increase of 4.34% compared to the 35.7 million from the previous year, according to the Generalitat's budget project for this year, presented this Friday. To this amount, 5.3 million allocated to the Anti-Fraud Agency are added, bringing the total sum to 42.6 million.

This is the first regional budget since Juanfran Pérez Llorca took office as President of the Generalitat. The presentation of the project comes three days after Vox made public an agreement with the Consell after negotiating a series of measures structured around three axes: national priority, a reduction in the tax burden, and addressing housing access difficulties.

Regarding the allocation for the Valencian parliament, which depends on the Generalitat, the 2026 accounts allocate 37.3 million for legislative activity. Of this figure, the main item corresponds to personnel expenses, with 25.6 million. Another 6.3 million are reserved for the acquisition of current goods and ordinary operating expenses, 4.1 million for current transfers, and 1.1 million for real investments.

The Anti-Fraud Agency will have a budget of 5.3 million euros for 2026, representing an increase of 5.5% over the previous year. Practically all of this amount, 5.2 million, is channeled through current transfers.

Among the main lines of action for this body are the function of proposing and processing investigation actions initiated after the analysis of complaints filed, conducting specific investigations and studies on corruption risks, issuing reports in relation to documents received from statutory institutions or public administrations, providing legal support and expert reports, preparing the necessary technical reports for courts and tribunals, or ensuring the protection of whistleblowers.

In parallel, the Court of Auditors will have an allocation of 11.2 million euros this fiscal year and the Ombudsman will have 4.6 million euros available, in both cases with an increase of 6.29% compared to the previous year. The Juridical Advisory Council will manage 3.4 million this year, 5.28% more, while the Economic and Social Committee will be allocated 1.7 million, which represents an increase of 8.76%.
