Revolut has announced that Vlad Yatsenko, co-founder and current chief technology officer of the firm, will step down from his responsibilities as chief technology officer and hand over the reins to Donato Lucia, who will assume the position of vice president of technology at the British neobank.
Thus, Yatsenko will remain linked to the entity as a non-executive director on the board of directors starting July 1, 2026, a role from which he will continue to contribute his experience and knowledge to the company's development.
"This transition comes after more than a decade of leadership as one of the main architects of Revolut's innovative technological platform," the company stated in a press release.
The new vice president of technology has been part of the engineering department for eight years and until now served as 'head of technology'. Due to his solid track record of technical leadership and his deep mastery of the platform's core architecture, Donato is positioned as the "ideal" person to lead Revolut's global engineering division.
