The spokesperson for the Socialist Group in the Assembly of Extremadura, Isabel Gil Rosiña, has denounced that the new regional accounts presented by the Junta "are not budgets, but an accounting adjustment or, even worse, a settling of scores between Guardiola and Vox".
In a press conference, Gil Rosiña stressed that this assessment "is not a political opinion, but a reality reflected in the budget numbers themselves".
According to her details, the regional Executive has registered accounts totaling 8,853 million euros, "755 million more than the previous year", while the General Memorandum of the Budgets itself admits, on page 151, a planned non-execution of 776 million euros.
"Who does Mrs. Guardiola want to fool? They increase the accounts by 755 million euros and, at the same time, they already admit that they will not execute 776 million. Therefore, we are not facing budgets, but a full-fledged accounting adjustment," insisted the socialist leader.
Gil Rosiña has also described these accounts as "budgets of shame", "radical and not at all moderate" items that, in her opinion, "punish people and, what is worse, single them out".
In this regard, she has censured the cut "in half" of the funds directed to unions and employers' associations to carry out their tasks of representation and defense of workers and companies.
"The Junta cuts social concertation and social dialogue in Extremadura in half," she stated, reproaching that the responsible minister "tries to justify cuts that weaken fundamental tools for the labor and economic stability of this region".
The socialist spokesperson also expressed her opposition to the "dismantling" of Extremaduran international cooperation. "It is very regrettable that Guardiola wants to change the Extremadura we know and of which we have always been so proud," she indicated.
She gave as an example that the Extremaduran Agency for International Cooperation goes from having 9.4 million euros to just 900,000 euros. "Faced with a cut of these dimensions, why don't they eliminate it now? They don't do it out of hypocrisy, out of Guardiola's hypocrisy," she asserted.
She also recalled that international cooperation "not only represents values of solidarity and social justice", but also promotes job creation in the autonomous community, as reported by the PSOE in a press release.
"Cooperation creates around 200 jobs for highly qualified and prepared young people each year," she specified, adding that it is also "a fundamental tool for granting security to migrants."
To conclude, Isabel Gil Rosiña reiterated that the accounts registered by the Board "do not respond to the real needs of Extremadura," but rather obey "the ideological impositions of Vox assumed by Guardiola."
"These are accounts that cut rights, weaken social dialogue, punish cooperation, and abandon the model of a solidary, moderate, and cohesive region that Extremadura has always defended," she concluded.
