Russia and Ukraine have once again exchanged attacks during the past night, with a death toll on both sides of the border: three people have died in the Russian region of Belgorod and one in Zaporizhzhia, in southeastern Ukraine.
The regional crisis management team of the border region of Belgorod pointed out that three men lost their lives in the town of Oktyabrsky, located a short distance from Ukraine, as a result of two offensives registered in the area.
In Armavir, in the Krasnodar region, in southern Russia, authorities reported a fire at the facilities of an oil depot. No injuries were reported. This energy infrastructure had already been attacked previously by Ukrainian drones.
Likewise, another fire broke out in the port of Taganrog, in the southern Rostov region, as explained by Governor Yuri Slyusar. In this incident, two people were injured and the fire reached a tanker, a fuel tank, and an administrative building.
In its general assessment, the Ministry of Defense in Moscow reported that 127 Ukrainian drones were shot down over Russian territory and over the Crimean peninsula, annexed by Russia, during the night. These figures have not been independently verified, and the Ministry does not usually detail the extent of the damage.
For its part, the Ukrainian Air Force indicated that Russia launched one missile, six cruise missiles, and 290 drones throughout the night. According to this report, 284 of these devices were intercepted, although impacts have been confirmed in seven localities and debris has fallen in about ten more.
The deceased in Ukraine has been identified as a resident of Zaporizhzhia by the Ukrainian regional governor, Ivan Fedorov. Two other people have been injured in this attack, in addition to three additional injured after another Russian bombing in Kherson.
