The minister for Digital Transformation and Public Function, Óscar López, assured this Saturday that the right is uncomfortable that Spain maintains its economic growth rate while the Government promotes an extraordinary regularization of migrant people: "It is what bothers that ultra and neoliberal wave".

During his speech at the Global Progressive Mobilisation (GPM), held at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, he highlighted the data on Social Security affiliation, the increase in pensions and the minimum wage, as well as the rise in permanent contracts: "The right's head explodes, they can't handle it".

Illa's Model vs. Ayuso's

López has alluded to the main slogan of the President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, "shared prosperity," an idea that he said he "loves" and that he has contrasted with the political project of the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

"This is told to you by someone from Madrid, who has a model that is the exact opposite: the prosperity of a few, based on everyone else having to pay for what are rights, and healthcare, education, dependency, vocational training, and everything else is privatized," he/she/it pointed out, contrasting both approaches.

Sánchez as a political "beacon"

The minister has celebrated that the GPM is organized in Spain and, specifically, in Barcelona, something that he considers fully justified and opportune, understanding that the Executive of Pedro Sánchez is "the beacon, not only in social justice policies and in multilateralism and peace, but also in economic policies".

According to what has been underlined, the meeting is serving to send a message of hope to progressive forces on a global scale, and has emphasized the level of mobilization achieved in these days: "They see that we are a much larger family than some think".
