Political parties that obtain representation in the Andalusian Parliament in the regional elections this Sunday, May 17, will receive 25,684.01 euros for each seat obtained and 95 cents per vote --specifically, 0.9479 euros-- as a subsidy to cover electoral campaign expenses.

This amount is included in an order from the Ministry of Economy, Finance, European Funds and Social Dialogue published on March 27 and consulted by Europa Press, in which aid for electoral expenses set for the June 2022 elections is updated, applying the variation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) between March 2022 and February 2026.

In application of this rule, the Board establishes that each of the 109 seats in the Andalusian Parliament will have a subsidy of 25,684.01 euros, and that 0.9479 euros will be paid for each vote obtained by the candidacies, provided that those votes translate into parliamentary representation in the corresponding constituency.

Electoral spending limit

In the same order, the Treasury also sets the maximum limit of electoral spending allowed for each party, federation, coalition, or group of electors that runs in the elections on March 17, which amounts to 4.36 million euros, adding up the set of the eight provincial constituencies.

By provinces, the limit is set at 389,109.23 euros in Almería; 623,291.62 euros in Cádiz; 388,392.96 euros in Córdoba; 474,136.85 euros in Granada; 269,458.61 euros in Huelva; 310,654.81 euros in Jaén; 900,919.28 euros in Málaga; and 994,241.87 euros in Seville.

The electoral spending ceiling authorized for each party in the 17M elections is calculated by multiplying by 0.5030 the number of inhabitants that make up the legal population of each provincial constituency.

Regarding the aid intended to finance free electoral mail propaganda, the order contemplates a subsidy that will vary between 12.15, 16.48, 19.95, 24.30, 27.76, 32.10, and 36.43 euro cents per elector, depending on the percentage of votes obtained on March 17, provided that the thresholds of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35% of valid votes in each constituency are exceeded.
