The Council of Ministers approved last Tuesday the Royal Decree that will start the process of regularization of immigrants who already reside in our country. To carry out the application procedure, some Social Security, Immigration, and Post Office branches will be available. In addition, it can also be done online.
Specifically, from the Social Security, there will be one available for the process in each provincial capital, except in Alicante, Malaga, Murcia, and Valencia, where there will be two per capital. Exceptionally, and due to the number of expected applications, both Madrid and Barcelona will have three.
For their identification, they will have displayed in a visible place a distinctive sign informing citizens that it is one of the offices enabled to carry out the extraordinary regularization procedures for immigrants.
The offices will be open between April 20 and June 30, 2026, in the afternoon, specifically from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM from Monday to Friday.
These are the Social Security offices that will open so that citizens with a prior appointment can carry out the application procedure:

How to request a prior appointment?
- On the Regularization portal, through Cl@ve, where you can select office, date and time. If you do not have a Cl@ve system, you can consult the requirements to obtain it here, or you can also ask someone who has this service to request an appointment for you.
- On the Regularization portal, through a web form. You will not be able to choose the office or the date; the one closest to your references will be assigned to you.
- By calling telephone 060, with service in Spanish.
The processing of applications in person will always require having a prior appointment, which will be enabled from April 16. In-person service at offices will be provided from April 20.
Application by telematic means
People interested in taking advantage of this extraordinary regularization of immigrants will also be able to do so by online means. In that case, the deadline opens earlier: Thursday, April 16.
The telematic route will allow requests to be made during the entire process in four ways:
- Individually with an electronic certificate.
- Through authorized representatives registered in the Electronic Register of Powers of Attorney.
- Through authorized professionals such as lawyers, social graduates, or administrative managers.
- Through entities registered in the Register of Immigration Collaborators.
The application platform will be accessible from the website of the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration.
