The Secretary General of Junts, Jordi Turull, has maintained that the President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, avoids inconveniencing the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, in a context that he has described as a "judicial cesspool and corruption that invades the State," which, as he has underlined, affects both the PSOE and the PP.
During his speech at the Junts Municipal Convention, held this Saturday in Vilafranca del Penedès, he stated that Catalonia has a Government of the Generalitat "waiting to see how it can help Pedro Sánchez" so that he can continue at the head of the central Executive, even when, as he has remarked, he faces "a parliamentary majority against him in Moncloa."
Turull added that "while in Catalonia problems are growing and people's suffering is intensifying in many areas, we have a Government whose main objective and line of action is not to bother Pedro Sánchez," insisting that the Catalan Executive prioritizes the stability of the socialist leader over the resolution of the difficulties that citizens are going through.
