The Secretary of Organization and spokesperson for Podemos, Pablo Fernández, has denounced that the magistrate Santiago Pedraz "is delaying" the case he is investigating regarding the alleged illegal investigation of the party, and has stated that he has "serious doubts" that the investigation will truly get to the bottom of it.

Along these lines, he has called on the judge to act with "the same speed" as in "other cases," after having indicted a former head of the UDEF this Monday. According to Fernández, "instead of showing promptness (...) what he is doing in our opinion is delaying" the procedure, which has remained open since "February 2024," as he pointed out in an interview on 'La noche en 24 horas,' reported by Europa Press.

The Podemos leader has reiterated that "the PP's police sewers" to investigate the purple formation are "perfectly accredited" and has stressed that it "would be good" for Justice to be "a little faster."

ON CASES OF "LAWFARE" AFFECTING THE PSOE

The party's spokesperson has avoided defining the case affecting David Sánchez, brother of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, as "lawfare," stating that there were "anomalous circumstances" surrounding the awarding of the position. However, he has pointed out that, based on the "judicial investigation," it is "one of the cases" in which an attempt "will be made to harm those around the Socialist Party."

Fernández has described the General Council of the Judiciary as the "real opposition" and has maintained that "there are people in the judiciary who want to put the President of the Government in jail." At the same time, he has reproached the PSOE for not accepting the formation of a progressive majority in the CGPJ in the last legislature.
