Spanish farmers and ranchers have already received more than 70% of the advance corresponding to the direct aid of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), paid by the Spanish Agricultural Guarantee Fund (FEGA), according to a statement made this Friday by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. Within the regional distribution planned until November 30, 2026, Castilla-La Mancha has been allocated 445.6 million.
Specifically, producers have already received more than 1.850 billion euros of the 2.417 billion that FEGA has transferred to the autonomous communities since the start of payments on October 16, a financial support aimed at reinforcing liquidity in light of the costs of the start of the autumn planting campaign.
The total amount planned for this advance rises to 2.691 billion euros and the payment schedule will extend until November 30, 2026. The European Commission has allowed an increase of up to 75% in the percentage of advance of these aids in response to the consequences of the war in Iran, which has driven up the price of fertilizers and energy.
In the breakdown by communities of the estimated payments until November 30, 2026, Andalusia tops the list with 779 million euros, followed by Castilla y León, with 638.6 million, and Castilla-La Mancha, with 445.6 million.
Following them are Extremadura, with 283.4 million; Aragón, with 244.5 million; Navarra, with 74.2 million; Galicia, with 47.0 million; the Valencian Community, with 42.0 million; Asturias, with 38.8 million; Murcia, with 26.0 million; Madrid, with 21.4 million; La Rioja, with 17.7 million; Balearic Islands, with 17.0 million and Cantabria, with 15.9 million.
