The Department of Agriculture of the Govern of the Generalitat has made public the update corresponding to 2026 of the map of parcels and crops of the holdings, as well as of the map of agricultural holdings, compiled from the data of the Agrarian Declaration (DUN) of the current campaign.
The map of parcels and crops serves to locate the declared agricultural parcels and access information such as the main crop, the irrigation system, the type of cover, the aid requested, the viticultural parcel codes or the possible existence of second crops, the Department detailed this Wednesday in a communiqué.
In addition, it integrates data on the special protection areas for birds (ZEPA), the sites of community importance (LIC), nitrate-vulnerable areas and certified organic agricultural production.
Declared data in the DUN
The map of holdings constitutes a graphic layer that geolocates the agricultural holdings of Catalunya with the information declared in the DUN and allows consultation of their most relevant features.
This layer reflects the delimitation of each holding and its total area, and incorporates data relating to the legal organization, the aid requested and the age and gender of the holder.
The information of both maps has its origin in the DUN, the annual declaration system through which the holders of agricultural holdings provide the Department of Agriculture with the structural and productive information of their holdings, as well as aid requests and other procedures associated with agricultural activity.
Continuous availability and open access
The continuous availability of these data —since 2015 in the case of the map of parcels and crops and since 2019 in that of the map of agricultural holdings— makes it possible to study the evolution of agricultural activity and of the agricultural uses of the territory with a temporal perspective.
These data can be consulted, analyzed and reused through the Open Data portal of the Generalitat.
