Freshuelva and the Provincial Council of Huelva have once again signed the collaboration agreement that will make possible the celebration of the XI International Congress of Red Fruits, scheduled for June 17 and 18 at the Casa Colón in Huelva. With this signature, the provincial administration reaffirms its support for an event now fully established as a benchmark international forum for the analysis, debate, and projection of a key sector for the Huelva economy.
As indicated by Freshuelva in a press release, the president of the Provincial Council of Huelva, David Toscano, has highlighted that "the International Congress of Red Fruits has become one of the best showcases of the productive, innovative, and exporting capacity of our province." Toscano also emphasized that "Huelva is today a world reference in berry production and this Congress contributes decisively to reinforcing that leadership position, generating business opportunities, knowledge exchange, and international projection for the entire sector."
For his part, the president of Freshuelva, Francisco José Gómez, has thanked the continued support of the Provincial Council, pointing out that since the first edition it has had the support of an institution that "has always understood the importance of the red fruits sector for the economic and social development of the province."
Furthermore, Gómez has highlighted that the Congress "will once again bring together professionals, companies, researchers, and institutions from different countries in Huelva to analyze the main challenges and opportunities that will shape the future of the sector."
Institutional Participation and Social Focus of the Congress
The involvement of the Provincial Council of Huelva will not be limited to institutional support, but will also have a direct presence in the official program of the meeting. Thus, the provincial deputy for Social Services, Drug Addiction, and Social Welfare, Carmen Díaz Soriano, will participate on Thursday, June 18, in the round table titled "Social Responsibility and Local Development," a space in which the social impact of red fruit activity will be examined both in the province of Huelva and in the countries of origin of the workers hired in origin.
In this session, initiatives linked to circular migration and its effect on territories such as Honduras will be addressed, along with projects to promote entrepreneurship among Moroccan women hired at origin, highlighting the social and human aspect of a sector that has consolidated itself as a European benchmark not only for its productive potential but also for its commitment to development and integration.

The XI International Red Berries Congress will once again bring together producers, marketing companies, auxiliary companies, research staff, and representatives of various institutions at the Casa Colón for a broad program of presentations, discussion panels, and professional activities.
