The Consellería do Medio Rural has launched an electronic public auction to award 31 lots of wood in the province of Ourense, whose total amount is around 1.8 million euros.

The Official Gazette of Galicia (DOG) reports this Friday the resolution that gives the green light to this operation of sale of wood in Ourense, an auction that will be held at the Territorial Delegation of the Xunta in this province.

Of the lots offered, 22 have PEFC certification and another four have the dual PEFC and FSC certification, considered the two most widespread forest management seals internationally. Companies interested in participating must have a chain-of-custody certificate, which accredits the complete traceability of the wood.

Altogether, the lots amount to more than 61,000 cubic meters of wood. The entire procedure for bidders will be carried out electronically, from consulting the lots on offer to the final phase of the auction. To be able to follow the progress of the auction, a specific virtual room will be made available.
