The Government of Galicia (Xunta de Galicia) has granted environmental authorization to a project to build a 46.8-hectare kiwi plantation in the municipality of Trazo, in A Coruña.

The Diario Oficial de Galicia (DOG) publishes this Friday the notice of the green light for this plantation located in Vilamide, in the parish of San Vicenzo de Vilouchada, in Trazo.

The operation, promoted by Cool Kiwi SL, includes planting, clearing and removing existing vegetation, as well as preparing the land, installing posts and anti-hail netting, implementing an irrigation system, and constructing hydraulic infrastructures linked to that system.

The decision of the Consellería de Medio Ambiente e Cambio Climático concludes that no significant environmental impacts are expected provided that the conditions established in the environmental report and the analyzed documentation are respected.
