The spokesperson for Vox in the Andalusian Parliament, Javier Cortés, has come out in defense this Thursday of the government agreement that his party maintains with the PP in Andalusia, a pact in which, he has emphasized, "the national priority becomes reality." At the same time, he has demanded that "not a single euro" of public funds be given to the unions that have called for a general strike on November 11.
Cortés expressed himself in these terms during his intervention in front of the president of the Junta, Juanma Moreno, in the control session of the Plenary of the Parliament, where he raised a question focused on opportunities for young Andalusians.
The Vox leader has argued that "because of" the government of Pedro Sánchez, many young people are doomed to "poverty and precariousness," while "seeing how newly arrived immigrants with no ties have had priority access to social aid and public housing."
In light of this scenario, he emphasized that the Andalusian government agreement signed between PP-A and Vox contemplates "prioritizing Andalusians" both in access to housing and in the granting of social aid.
In his intervention, Cortés also addressed the general secretary of PSOE-A, María José Montero, to explain to her, in his words, "how to build more than 1,100 homes." "A budget that works if you add the 18 million that UGT has to return to the Junta for irregularities in training courses, plus the 40 million that are pending in the courts, and the 110 million euros that the socialist has given them during her time in the Government of Spain," he indicated.
According to the Vox spokesperson, the total of those amounts, which amounts to 168 million euros, would allow "the construction of 1,119 public homes."
He added that the Andalusian government pact between PP-A and Vox also establishes that, compared to the 800 public homes built by the central government in the last eight years, the Junta commits to "build 20,000 homes for Andalusians in the next four years."
Regarding the general strike, he insisted that it has been promoted by the unions with the aim of "helping the socialists and the communists," and reiterated his demand not to allocate "not a single euro" of public money "to either union or business organizations."
To conclude, the spokesperson of Vox has emphasized that "the effort of every Andalusian and every Spaniard must be directed towards healthcare, education, and housing".
