CHA-Frente Amplio Aragón has announced its candidacy for the Congress of Deputies for the province of Zaragoza ahead of the general elections on November 29, a list that will be headed by Marina Rodríguez and Jesús García Usón.

In the presentation, the head of the list, Marina Rodríguez, and the number two, Jesús García Usón, were supported by the rest of the members of the candidacy and by militants from Chunta Aragonesista, Izquierda Unida, Movimiento Sumar, Partido Verde, and Recortes Cero.

"We are very clear about the objective: to bring the voice of Aragón to Madrid," Rodríguez stated, highlighting "having achieved a unitary candidacy that combines youth and experience, listening to what the Aragonese people asked us for."

Rodríguez reiterated her commitment to "work in defense of our territory, our culture, our languages, our landscapes, our rivers, our mountains, and our people, to achieve an Aragón where we can live."

On the other hand, Jesús García Usón has called for hope and mobilization against the advance of the right. Taking Lula's victory in Brazil as an example, he emphasized that the candidacy aims to be "the hope of the people who want to fight for their rights against resignation" and to bring a firm position in defense of the social majority to Congress.

Usón also emphasized the coalition's support for protests in defense of labor rights, including the general strike called for November 11, and demanded wages that allow for facing the real cost of living, with special attention to housing and the shopping basket.

The candidate warned that "the rising cost of housing and liberal policies are deteriorating the living conditions of the class."

In this regard, he pointed out that Aragón is an example of the consequences of right-wing policies, especially in the area of housing, where, as he indicated, "a market vision prevails that favors the most privileged sectors over those who need effective guarantees to access decent housing." He also defended the need for regulations that ensure the right to housing, the protection of labor rights, a minimum pension equivalent to the minimum interprofessional wage, and the strengthening of public services.

"The important thing is the policies, not the politicians," Usón has emphasized, who has stated that the Broad Front aspires to have sufficient representation in Madrid to advance measures that expand rights and curb the abuses suffered by workers and the most vulnerable sectors.
