The PP spokesperson in the Cortes de Aragón, Ana Marín, has assessed very positively the Draft Budget Law of Aragón for 2027, presented this Wednesday by the president of the regional government, Jorge Azcón. The accounts amount to 9,594 million euros, "the highest in the community's history," and, she has underlined, its overall increase "has repercussions, as could not be otherwise, in the benefit of people from Aragón."

In her appearance before the media, Marín pointed out that the 2027 budget is 12% higher than the last one approved, that of 2024, which means one billion euros more. She detailed that the allocations for health are strengthened and that the resources directed to social services, housing and roads are also increased.

In this context, Marín ironized about the PSOE's criticism: "The Socialist Parliamentary Group, through its spokesperson --in the Commission on Finance of the Cortes de Aragón--, Óscar Galeano, has gone out to hold a press conference saying that we had agreed these budgets with Vox. Obviously, they are our government partners and this budget is the Government of Aragón's budget."

The PP representative added that "we don't understand that position, just as we don't understand that today they only support themselves on Bildu," referring to the sovereignty-minded formation as "the only support that the Government of Spain has left," "that of the filoetarras, of those people who left behind the history of Spain a thousand dead, also among them many belonging to the Socialist Party."

As Ana Marín has argued, the socialist spokesperson for Finance calls into question "a form of management that is the one that has taken Aragón to the level we find ourselves at today," emphasizing that this is an autonomous community "a pioneer in many aspects and, above all, in investments, in infrastructure, in housing, in health, in social services."

Marín contrasted this situation with the central executive, "which belongs to her political party and which has gone four years without presenting budgets because everything that has happened and everything that is happening is precisely a consequence of a Government that has not known how to manage and that has not been able to approve General State Budgets (PGE) in four years."

She described the Government led by Pedro Sánchez as "incapable of governing, of managing, of investing and of approving General State Budgets in four years."

"DEMONSTRATED"

For Marín, Óscar Galeano "has made clearer than ever" that the Government of Spain "is incapable", while the Aragonese Executive "knows how to manage, has managed and has demonstrated it with the budgets for the year 2024 and with those that are going to be approved for the year 2027".

Therefore, he has urged the PSOE to "worry more about what it has at home and let those who are working outside of that sphere and improving every day the lives of the people of Aragón do their work".
