The groups of the Parliament of Cantabria will have until November 24, at 12:00 p.m., to register total amendments to the draft laws of the autonomous community’s Budget for 2027 and of Fiscal Measures --the so-called accompanying law--, according to sources from the Chamber told Europa Press.

The debate on the total amendments has been set for December 2, as the Parliament already announced last Friday, once the Government (PP) registered both draft laws in the institution that same day.

If total amendments are finally submitted and, in the Plenary on December 2, one of them is approved, this will imply the return of the draft laws to the regional Executive, a scenario that already occurred with the accounts corresponding to 2026.

Then the total amendments promoted by PRC, PSOE and Vox went ahead, as the opposition groups added their support to each of them so that they would pass.

After the return of the Budgets to the Government, it was necessary to extend the 2025 accounts.

Months later, in March 2026, PP and PRC reached an agreement to approve, on a second attempt, said accounts. The pact was structured in 24 measures and included an additional 220 million euros.

The accounts were definitively approved by the Chamber on April 27 with the backing of Populars and Regionalists and entered into force on May 1.

If on this occasion no total amendments are registered or none obtains sufficient support, the period to submit partial amendments will open, although this schedule has not yet been determined.

Nor has the date on which the definitive debate on the accounts will be held been specified, for the moment.
