The mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, has estimated the cost of the urban furniture burned during the riots that occurred last Saturday in the Catalan capital at 36,000 euros. He also recalled that there have been 128 arrests related to these incidents, "56 percent" of them involving minors, so it will be their parents who "will pay" the economic consequences of the damages caused.

Collboni lamented that there was "gratuitous violence" that "does not respond to a protest," but rather, as he pointed out, it was "a very suspicious mobilization that has been promoted on social media, on Tik Tok," and that at this moment is already being investigated by the competent authorities.

"We must look at who celebrates it and infer who might be behind it," the Barcelona councilor emphasized in an interview on "Cadena Ser," reported by Europa Press, in which he insisted that the origin and organization of these riots are being analyzed.
