Three migrants who crossed the border from Morocco into Ceuta on last July 30 have identified before the judge Moroccan agents as instigators of the mass entry and have indicated that they did not put obstacles in the way of the thousands of people who entered the autonomous city.
According to what they stated this Wednesday as witnesses, in line with legal sources consulted by Europa Press, they did so before the judge of the Audiencia Nacional María Tardón, who is investigating the case over the massive arrival of people to Ceuta from the neighboring country on July 30 and 31.
The Moroccan immigrants have related that they knew some of those agents because they were their neighbors or because they had attended to them in their workplaces, and they have pointed out that they saw trucks and buses that transported dozens of people to the vicinity of the border.
These witnesses had already appeared days earlier before the Policía Nacional and left on record that "without a shadow of a doubt" there were agents of the security forces or senior officials of the authorities of Morocco involved in the movements recorded during the entry into Ceuta.
The three have maintained that they entered the autonomous city by swimming on July 30 and one of them detailed that he had been part of the Moroccan Gendarmerie, where he worked as a sergeant-major at the Marrakech airport.
When questioned about whether he had knowledge of the participation of Moroccan forces or corps in what happened on July 30, he stated that "he observed that agents of the auxiliary forces of Rabat, agents of the Moroccan national police and agents of the Royal Gendarmerie were present".
Subsequently, a border official of the Policía Nacional also testified, as a witness, who, according to the same sources, maintained that the Moroccan authorities facilitated the mass entry and organized the migrants into groups to which they were allowing passage in a staggered manner.
That same day 30, according to his testimony, he got in touch with his Moroccan counterpart, who told him that the situation on the other side of the border was normal and that everything was under control.
In addition, another agent of the Policía Nacional who took photographs of the arrival of thousands of migrants has testified and has highlighted that he was surprised that there were no sub-Saharans among them.
