The magistrate in charge of Court No. 2 of the Civil and Investigating Section of the Court of Instance of Orgaz (Toledo) issued this Wednesday afternoon an order barring access to any person outside the environment of the railway accident that occurred in Urda. The restriction extends to a radius of 2 kilometers around the Madrid-Seville High-Speed line in both directions.

According to the statement from the Superior Court of Justice released by Europa Press, only the State Security Forces and Corps, rescue and medical teams, and judicial personnel have judicial authorization to remain at the scene of the accident.

In the same ruling, the judge expressly prohibits removing any object from the accident scene, as well as the capture and dissemination of images of the affected area, with the aim of avoiding the alteration of possible clues.

The statement underscores that these measures are adopted to facilitate the clarification of what happened and guarantee the preservation of all evidence, proofs, and clues related to the railway accident.

Among the decisions adopted by the investigating judge during the afternoon is also the seizure and custody of the black boxes of the trains involved, which will remain under the responsibility of the Toledo Judicial Police for their subsequent technical study.

Likewise, the judge has sent an official notice to the Judicial Police so that it appears at the Atocha control center, with the task of gathering information on train traffic in the affected stretch in the hours of the accident, as well as the report of the ADIF investigation commission regarding the people responsible for the command control at the time of the accident.

In another official notice addressed to the Toledo Judicial Police, it is ordered to request from ADIF all data on the action protocols applied in the minutes before, during and after the railway accident, in order to incorporate them into the case.

Finally, the magistrate has issued an Order by which the secrecy of the case is agreed upon regarding the proceedings opened, so that the proceedings will remain reserved while the judicial investigation continues.
