The 4th bench of the Juvenile Section of the Court of Instance of Barcelona, acting as duty court, has decreed supervised release for the two teenage girls arrested in the Catalan capital for their alleged involvement in promoting violent acts and looting last October 24 through communication channels related to Blocus, as detailed this Tuesday by the High Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) in an information note.
As the Mossos d'Esquadra explained in a message on X collected by Europa Press on Monday, the young women, aged 14 and 17, are linked to alleged public disorder offenses aggravated by pillage in the context of a joint investigation with the National Police.
The National Police indicated in a statement that the two minors acted as administrators of several groups created to "facilitate the coordination" of the participants in the unrest of October 24, incidents that ended with more than 130 people detained.
Access to said groups would have been promoted through posters spread on social networks that included a system to enter the channels from which the unrest and looting were "energized and directed".
With these elements, the investigators conclude that the two detainees would have "actively participated" in the energizing of the group.
