The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has claimed "more resources" and "the full support of the State" for the State Security Forces and Corps (FCSE) after several agents of the Civil Guard were injured when a narco-boat rammed into a patrol boat in the waters of Huelva on Thursday afternoon.
In a message published this Friday on his official profile on the social network 'X', Moreno denounced that "This is repeated day after day in Andalucía. The drug mafias are expanding, operating along the entire coast, and any intervention can end up in another tragedy. Enough already."
The call for more resources has been joined by the second vice president and counselor of Tourism, Justice, Deregulation, and Local Administration, Manuel Gavira, who has blamed the central Executive for "abandoning the Civil Guard."
In another message on his official account on 'X', Gavira conveyed "All my support to the civil guards injured during a pursuit against drug trafficking in Cádiz. I wish them a speedy recovery. Sánchez and Marlaska have abandoned our Civil Guard, and they continue to fail to provide it with the necessary human, material, and legal resources to fight with all guarantees against the narco and end their impunity."
In the operation, carried out on Thursday afternoon off the coast of Huelva, several civil guards suffered minor injuries and five people were arrested after being pursued at sea.
The action began when a patrol boat from the Provincial Maritime Service of Cádiz thwarted the supply of fuel to high-speed vessels (EAV) related to drug trafficking near the mouth of the Guadalquivir River.
During the escape, the suspicious vessel rammed into the patrol boat, causing noticeable structural damage. Despite the collision, the agents continued the pursuit until they managed to intercept the boat and arrest its five occupants. The civil guards injured in the impact presented minor contusions.
