Pablo Azcona will be the head of the list of Geroa Bai for the constituency of Navarra to the Congress of Deputies in the general elections on November 29, while Mayte Espinosa will head the candidacy for the Senate.
The list for Congress will be made up, in this order, of Pablo Azcona, María Basarte, Javier Ollo, Aitana Duque, and Alfredo Agós. In turn, the candidacy for the Senate will be completed with Raúl Ayala and Anika Luján, as Geroa Bai has pointed out in a note.
Pablo Azcona began his political career in 2007 as a councilor of Lodosa for LOIU, a position he held until 2011. That same year he was elected mayor of the municipality, a position he held until 2021. In addition, he presided over the Navarra Federation of Municipalities and Councils (FNMCNUKF) between 2011 and 2015. Later he was a regional parliamentarian for Geroa Bai between 2019 and 2023 and, since 2023, he serves as the parliamentary spokesperson for the coalition in the Parliament of Navarra.
In his professional field, Azcona is on leave from a company in the agri-food industry.
For her part, Mayte Espinosa has served as mayor of Buñuel in two stages: from 2019 to 2023 and from 2025 to the present. Her professional experience has developed in the field of training, as well as in advising and professional guidance for executives.
She holds a higher degree in Business Administration and Management, a postgraduate degree in People Management, and a specialization in Marketing from EADA Business School, based in Barcelona. Currently, she is on leave from her position at the Gizain Foundation.
Geroa Bai has emphasized that with these candidacies it reaffirms its "commitment to defending the interests of Navarra in Madrid and to the presence in the Cortes Generales of a progressive, constructive, and propositional representation, committed to the needs of the Navarra citizenry."
