After a meeting of the CECOPI at 112 Castilla-La Mancha, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the President of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, have appeared to speak about the Urda railway accident and give the latest on the injured and the work that is still being carried out on the ground at the scene of the disaster.

"The injured are evolving positively. We are more hopeful", Emiliano García-Page began by saying.

Sánchez, for his part, said that "the whole State is fully committed to the response" to the accident. The president insisted on care for the victims and their families, on the investigation into what happened, and on the subsequent material compensation that is given to the victims' families.

The President of the Government wanted to convey that all the administrations "we are working day and night to clarify the details of the tragedy" and assured that "railway safety will be reinforced" so that it does not happen again.
