Sevilla, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Málaga, Huelva, and Almería will host concentrations and remembrance events in the coming days for the death of Maricarmen, recently evicted from her home, with calls for this Thursday and Friday in memory of the deceased and in defense of the right to housing.

In Sevilla, a concentration is planned for this Thursday at 19:00 hours at the Setas. In Córdoba, the citizen platform 15M Stop Desahucios Córdoba has called on the public at the same time in front of the City Hall, in a protest of "mourning and anger for the death of Maricarmen, recently evicted from her home."

With this call, the Córdoba platform seeks to "pay tribute to Maricarmen and, at the same time, denounce a situation that we cannot accept," as indicated. Likewise, it has emphasized that "housing is a right, not a business" and has encouraged the population to fight for that right, "because we have the right to it."

In Granada, a concentration has been organized for this Thursday at 20:00 hours in front of the Government Subdelegation under the slogan 'Granada for Maricarmen'. The poster for the event speaks of an "urgent concentration" and includes the message "They are not deaths, they are murders!".

In Málaga, the protest will be this Friday, October 9, at 19:30 hours in the Constitution square. The announcement of the call includes the slogan 'For Maricarmen: Housing costs us our lives!' and adds a call for a general strike.

In Cádiz, the Tenants' Union has called for a minute of silence for Maricarmen this Thursday at 21:00 hours in the Palillero square, where the camp has been maintained.

In this context, they have recalled that "you left us a clear message: 'Fight, keep fighting for what is yours.' Today we gather to remember you, but also to continue fighting for all those who, like you, only want to be able to live and die in their home. Until always, Maricarmen. Your fight continues."

In Almería, the Acampada Almería collective has announced that it will pay tribute to Maricarmen as part of its daily meetings, which take place at 19:30 hours at the end of the Promenade.

In Huelva, the group Poets of Huelva for Peace celebrates this Thursday, at 19:00 hours in Bar 1900, the event 'Verses for Maricarmen', with a minute of silence and the reading of poems dedicated to her figure. Different poetic voices will participate in this appointment with the aim of "claiming peace in these moments of pain and so much turmoil," as they have pointed out.

In addition, this Friday, at 18:00 hours, the formal constitution of the Tenants' Platform in Huelva is scheduled to take place in Parque Alonso Sánchez, where the deceased will also be remembered, although the final format is still to be determined.

Parallel to these actions, Stop Evictions 15M had scheduled another concentration in Granada for this Thursday, at 10:30 hours in Isabel la Católica square, with the aim of preventing a family from entering an eviction process due to the "lack of solutions from a banking entity." In Jaén, for now, no mobilization calls have been announced for the death of Maricarmen.
