The president of the Confederation of Business Associations of the Balearic Islands (CAEB), Carmen Planas, has assessed the action of the Civil Guard in the arrest of the two young activists indicated for alleged vandalism against several real estate companies as appropriate.
"The state security forces have to act and we respect their actions, they will have their way of doing things. I believe it has been proportionate because they act as they should. What they do is defend and they act when they consider it appropriate," she pointed out this Wednesday when asked about it.
Planas, in statements to the media, has considered that the Civil Guard "has to act always following certain rules," something that has been fulfilled in this case.
"There has been an attack against businesses and companies that pay taxes and that comply legally. There should be no violence and actions should be civic," concluded the president of the employers' association.
