Friday 13 may have a reputation for bringing bad luck, but this year it could be a good day to take off. According to search data from KAYAK, a leading travel search engine, flights departing next Friday 13 November are, on average, 38% cheaper than flights departing on any other day of that week.
And November is not an isolated case. The 13th of February and the 13th of March 2026 also fell on Friday 13, and, according to search data on KAYAK, the average price of flights departing that day from Spanish airports was also 21% and 24% lower than any other day of that same week.
