American Tower, specialized in telecommunications towers, closed the first nine months of the year with a net profit attributed of 2,492.8 million dollars (2,236.81 million euros), which represents an increase of 45.9% compared to the 1,708.8 million dollars (1,533.32 million euros) recorded in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

According to the accounts released this Tuesday by the company, the 'tower company' obtained in the third quarter of 2026 net profits attributed of 765.8 million dollars (687.16 million euros), which represents a decrease of 10.25% compared to the 853.3 million (765.67 million euros) recorded between July and September of 2025.

In terms of revenue, American Tower reached in the first three quarters of the fiscal year a turnover of 8,272 million dollars (7,422.52 million euros), 4.6% higher than the 7,907.1 million dollars (7,095.10 million euros) obtained at the end of September 2025.

The operating result of the company stood at 3,777 million dollars (3,389.13 million euros), which represents an advance of 2.5% compared to the 3,685.1 million dollars (3,306.67 million euros) achieved in the first nine months of the previous year.

Raises forecasts for 2026

For the entirety of 2026, American Tower has revised upwards its global financial forecasts, supported by strong demand in its international business and a strong acceleration in its data center area.

According to the new estimates, the company expects total property revenues to be in a range between 10,785 and 10,865 million dollars (between 9,677.46 and 9,749.24 million euros), which implies a positive variation of 50% at the midpoint compared to the previous fiscal year.

This improvement in projections is mainly explained by the outstanding performance of its data centers, whose midpoint of revenues has increased by 55 million dollars (49.35 million euros).

The CEO of American Tower, Steve Vondran, has emphasized that the results of the 'tower company' demonstrate the strength of the business and an increasingly "focused" portfolio on high-quality assets with attractive growth opportunities. "The measures we have taken to simplify the portfolio and improve financial flexibility are creating a stronger foundation for sustainable long-term growth," he defended.
