The artificial intelligence company Anthropic has announced the international expansion of its cybersecurity model Mythos, which will become available to organizations in more than 15 countries, including Spain, as part of its Project Glasswing initiative.
The decision represents a significant shift in the company's strategy, which until now had maintained very limited access to this system, primarily focused on the United States and the United Kingdom.
150 organizations will access an advanced security model
According to the company, a total of 150 organizations will be part of this new phase of the model's deployment, designed to detect and correct vulnerabilities in complex computer systems.
Until now, Mythos had been used by large technology companies such as Microsoft, Apple, and JPMorgan, as well as a small group of strategic partners.
With the expansion, access is extended to institutions in more than 15 countries, including partners from the Five Eyes intelligence alliance (Canada, Australia, and New Zealand) and several European and Asian countries such as France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Spain, India, Japan, and South Korea.
Critical infrastructures and strategic sectors
Anthropic has indicated that the new participating organizations operate in sectors considered essential, such as energy, healthcare, water, telecommunications, financial services, and technology.
Furthermore, among the new partners are non-profit companies and entities responsible for maintaining digital infrastructures on which multiple organizations globally depend, including public administrations.
The company has emphasized that the program's objective is to protect systems whose failure could have a massive impact. In some cases, it estimates that a successful attack could affect more than 100 million people.
