The Italian insurance group Generali has announced the appointment of Luca Cetrano as the new Chief Investment Officer (CIO), a position he will assume effective June 1, 2026, and in which he will work under the supervision of Marco Sesana, General Manager of the entity.
In this new responsibility, Cetrano will be in charge of leading, coordinating, and controlling all investment decisions and strategies for the Italian group's insurance portfolios.
Luca Cetrano joined Generali Investments in 2012 and has since held various positions, progressively assuming greater responsibilities and scope within the organization.
In 2021, he took the helm of Generali's Portfolio Construction and Tactical Asset Allocation division, and more recently, he has expanded his scope of action to also include Strategic Asset Allocation and the management of the group's holding company's investment portfolio.
