IHG Hotels & Resorts has taken a new step in its strategy in the Middle East with the launch of Kimpton Al Rowda Doha, the first hotel of its luxury and lifestyle brand Kimpton in Qatar and the second it operates under this brand in the region.

Located in the Qatari capital, the complex has 283 keys, divided between 223 rooms and suites, in addition to 60 serviced residences intended for extended stays.

The establishment also offers five distinct dining concepts, specific areas for the celebration of meetings and corporate or social events, spaces dedicated to sports, a full spa and a panoramic pool located on the rooftop.

The opening in Doha adds to the recent Kimpton KAFD Riyadh in Saudi Arabia and allows the company to strengthen the deployment of the brand in the Persian Gulf, where it is already working on future projects in Dubai and Jeddah.

According to the general manager of IHG for India, the Middle East and Africa, Haitham Mattar, Kimpton's entry into Qatar is due to the country's dynamism in the leisure, culture and business travel segments, while also reinforcing the group's presence in the Qatari market, where it operates with brands such as InterContinental, voco, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites.
