The CEO of Merlin Properties, Ismael Clemente, has once again bet on the company with the purchase of another 10,000 shares for a total amount of 114,900 euros, after the value has accumulated a decline of 28% since the highs it reached last June.
According to the records of the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the operation was executed this Thursday at a market price of 11.49 euros per share, a quotation situated just above the intraday minimum of 11.28 euros marked during the session.
This acquisition adds to the one the executive made at the beginning of September, when he already bought another 10,000 shares, at a time when the accumulated decline from the highs was then 17%, a drop that has continued to widen to reach the current percentage.
According to the latest available public communication, corresponding to April 2019, Clemente's position in the capital of the socimi was at 0.252%, which is equivalent to 1.18 million shares of Merlin Properties in his possession.
In the reference shareholding of the company, the main partners are Banco Santander, with 22.3% of the capital; businessman Manuel Lao, with 6.3% of the shares, and BlackRock, which controls another 4.6%.
The stock market evolution of Merlin in recent years has been conditioned, on one hand, by the optimism of the market regarding its projection in the data center business and, on the other, by doubts surrounding possible bubbles linked to AI and the regulation that may affect this sector.
