MasOrange has reported that international calls and SMS messages from Spain to Venezuela will become free of charge, with the aim of facilitating communications with the Caribbean country after the double earthquake registered on Wednesday night. At the same time, the operator has launched the free voice and data 'roaming' service for those in Venezuelan territory.
The company has detailed in a press release that these special conditions will apply to contract customers of all its brands, both for personal and business lines, and that they will remain active for as long as necessary.
"This initiative seeks to facilitate communication with family, friends, and loved ones in a situation of special difficulty due to the consequences of the seismic movements of the last few hours," the company has indicated.
In addition, MasOrange is involving its staff in various actions in order to launch projects that help the affected population, channeling "their commitment and collaboration in favor of those who need it most in this emergency situation."
"MasOrange wishes to express its solidarity and support for the Venezuelan people in these difficult times, while also conveying its wish that the situation stabilizes and normality can be restored as soon as possible," it added.
