OpenAI, the artificial intelligence company responsible for models such as ChatGPT, is considered to be in a position to make the leap to the markets next year, as its president and co-founder, Greg Brockman, has pointed out.

"I think so," Brockman said when asked at a conference organized by "The Wall Street Journal" about whether the 'startup' will be ready next year for its debut on the stock exchange.

Along these lines, he has reiterated that OpenAI will only take that step when it understands that the context is right, emphasizing that he is shown to be "optimistic" about the evolution of the business.

"I feel that we have advanced a great deal this year and, frankly, I had never felt so confident in what we are doing," he said.

He also detailed that, at this time, most of the company’s revenue comes from the corporate segment, without that implying a brake on the development of the activity aimed at the end consumer, but rather that "it is the business segment that has really taken off".

According to internal documents from the firm shared with investors and published in October by "Financial Times", the annualized revenues of the 'startup' were around $50 billion (44.844 billion euros) in September.
