The Air Connectivity Table of Peru, coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), will focus its efforts on the opening of new routes, the modernization of infrastructures and operations of regional airports, the review and improvement of airport fees, and greater coordination in emergency management, with the aim of strengthening the competitiveness of the country's tourism sector.

"The message has to be clear for the tourism sector in general, particularly for the airline industry. We have the commitment as a State to make the airline industry a factor of competitiveness for the Peruvian economy," affirmed the head of Mincetur, Rogers Valencia.

According to the agency "Andina," these matters have been discussed among the competent bodies and representatives of the private sector in order to promote investments in infrastructures, in the improvement of services, and in the quality of the traveler's experience.

The meeting was led by Valencia along with the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Liz Chirinos, and brought together spokespeople from the air sector such as the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Association of International Air Transport Companies (AETAI), as well as delegates from international and national airlines.
