Renfe has communicated this Wednesday that the incident affecting the circulation of high-speed trains between Madrid and Barcelona has already been "resolved", although it warns that services could still experience delays.

In a message published at midday on the social network X, the operator details: "Incident resolved. The high-speed trains running between Madrid and Barcelona may continue to record delays".

Meanwhile, Adif has confirmed in another statement that the incident is resolved and has specified that "traffic tends to normalize".

First thing in the morning, around 9:30 a.m., the official Renfe Viajeros traffic information channel had reported that high-speed traffic between Madrid and Barcelona was being affected by an incident in the railway infrastructure caused by a cable theft between the municipalities of Guallar (Aragón) and Plasencia de Jalón (Zaragoza).

By the night of Tuesday, shortly before midnight, Renfe had already advanced, through the same channel, that the cable theft recorded between these Aragonese localities was causing delays on the standard-gauge trains line Madrid-Barcelona.
