Banco Santander recorded a net profit of 11.176 billion euros in the first nine months of 2026, which represents an increase of 16.1% compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the entity's communication this Wednesday when releasing its quarterly results.

The figure corresponds to the ordinary profit, in which Santander excludes the net capital gain of 1.895 billion euros derived from the sale of its business in Poland, partially offset by the costs of 666 million euros related to the integration of TSB and Webster. If this non-recurring item is included, the attributable net profit stands at 12.405 billion euros, 20% higher.

"We have once again achieved very solid results in the first nine months, with a 25% increase in earnings per share and an increasingly positive dynamic across the group. We have added 17 million customers in the last twelve months thanks to strong commercial activity and the incorporation of TSB and Webster. I am more confident than ever that we will meet our objectives, both in 2026 and in our three-year plan, thanks to the strength and commitment of our teams across the group," assured the president of Banco Santander, Ana Botín.
