The Andic family has closed ranks around Jonathan, investigated for the death of his father and Mango founder, Isak Andic, and has expressed its "unconditional" support for the decision to temporarily step down from the company's vice-presidency to focus on defending his innocence.
According to sources close to the family who spoke to Europa Press, after being consulted about the open letter sent by Jonathan Andic to the staff in which he communicated his intention to temporarily step aside from the company, the family has responded by showing "absolute" support for this move.
"The Andic family wishes to express its absolute and unconditional support for the decision made by Jonathan to temporarily step aside from his dedication to Mango in order to concentrate on his defense, while maintaining ties with other family, business, and social projects," they stated.
"The family wishes to reiterate, once again, its full confidence in Jonathan's innocence. As his lawyer, Cristóbal Martell, has previously stated: 'The homicide conjecture is inconsistent. But, above all, it is painful. It stigmatizes an innocent man. Now the process truly begins and the truth and innocence will shine through'," they concluded in their statement.
