The first data on the railway accident recorded between Mora and Urda (Toledo) a little before 9:00 a.m. this Wednesday indicate that an AVE from Renfe would have struck from the rear against a train from the Iryo company. As a result of that impact, two carriages of the Iryo convoy have ended up derailing, according to sources from the Ministry of Transport told Europa Press.

Teams from Adif and Renfe have gone to the scene of the incident to assess the damage and coordinate assistance tasks, which has forced the interruption of traffic on the Madrid-Andalusia high-speed line.

Given this situation, Renfe has put into operation options for changes and cancellations of tickets for travelers affected by the line closure.

For its part, Adif has detailed that the "incident" has occurred between Mora and Orgaz and Urda (Toledo), at kilometer point 118, and has affected a Renfe train and another Iryo train that were making the Madrid-Seville journey.
