Wizz Air has announced the launch of two new domestic connections between Madrid and the cities of Málaga and Sevilla starting on November 6, with the aim of "facilitating travel" after Renfe suspended the sale of tickets between the capital and Andalucía until the month of December.

According to the airline in a statement, two daily flights will be scheduled on each of these routes, thus offering an additional alternative to the train during this period of disruption. Fares will start at 45.99 euros and will not exceed 99.99 euros, "in order to help travel remain accessible during the interruption of rail service".

The Communications Director of Wizz Air, András Radó, has emphasized that the opening of these two internal routes, together with the establishment of a maximum cap on prices, is intended to provide "concrete support to those who have been affected by the interruption of rail service".

With this decision, Wizz Air is aligning itself with other airlines that had already strengthened their operations with Andalucía, such as Iberia, Ryanair, Air Europa and Volotea, increasing the supply of flights while limitations in rail transport persist.
