The consulting firm and insurance broker WTW, formerly known as Willis Towers Watson, has filed a new legal action before the commercial courts against part of its former management, in which the maximum amount claimed rises to 131 million euros.

On this occasion, WTW has taken Jaime Castellanos, Antón Serrats, Alberto Gallego and Deasterra Partners (Asterra) to court for "breach of their contractual duties with the company on June 8, 2026", according to the firm stated in a statement.

The new proceeding aims to demand "the damages derived from the acts of unfair competition and contrary to good faith in which, according to a final judgment, the defendants engaged".

With this legal offensive, WTW is claiming 117 million euros in a first lawsuit and 131 million in the second, amounts that are not added together. If the courts were to rule in favor of the company in both cases, the maximum sentence to be enforced would stand at 131 million euros.

For its defense, WTW has the technical support of the expert assessment firm FTI Consulting and the legal advice of the firm Baker & McKenzie.

"WTW will continue to actively defend the rights and interests of its business, in keeping with its commitment to the strength of its values," the company said. "Likewise, it will remain fully focused on ensuring the professional and high-quality service that characterizes its offering to clients," it added.
