The Health Commission of the Parliament of Navarre has determined that the Government of Navarre has not carried out the resolution which, at the proposal of EH Bildu, urged it to analyze within a period of one year the remuneration system of the Department of Health and its autonomous bodies.

The Parliament’s opinion has moved forward with the support of UPN, PSN, EH Bildu, PPN and Vox, while Geroa Bai and Contigo-Zurekin have opted for abstention.

The resolution adopted by the Health Commission falls within the procedure provided for supervising the degree of compliance with motions, set out in article 222 of the new Parliament Regulations. In that provision, where no specific deadlines are set, a period of four months is granted to the Government of Navarre to report on the execution of the parliamentary mandates.

The Department of Health sent on 26 May the documentation relating to the status of compliance with the resolution. Under the review and verification instruments contemplated in article 222, the spokesperson for Health of UPN—authority that could also be exercised by the other groups that supported the motion—asked that the Commission assess the Government of Navarre’s response to the requirements included in the resolution approved in Plenary.

Since the approval of the new Regulations at the end of the last legislature, this is the seventh occasion on which the Parliament of Navarre examines the Government’s performance with regard to compliance with a resolution.
