Sitting in front of the heads of the emergency device, with his hands clasped on the table and listening to their explanations, the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, visited this Thursday the advanced command post of Urda (Toledo), where actions continue after the rail accident that has left at least 69 dead.

During his visit, accompanied by the PP president of Castilla-La Mancha, Paco Núñez, Feijóo spoke with the regional president, Emiliano García-Page, and thanked the work of the emergency services. The Popular Party leader has demanded immediate political responsibilities and has questioned the continuity of the Transport Minister, Óscar Puente. "This cannot continue like this. With this way of managing, it cannot continue," he declared.

The meeting has earned the political image of the day, which takes place while the investigation continues to clarify the circumstances in which a Renfe AVE hit an Iryo train stopped on the Madrid-Seville line. Feijóo has defended that political responsibilities should not wait for technical or judicial conclusions and has criticized Puente's first explanations about a possible erroneous human decision in the management of railway traffic.
