The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has decided to extend the alert already issued for the presence of undeclared almond in the labeling of a dessert manufactured in Spain, after the existence of egg, which also does not appear on the list of ingredients, has also been confirmed.

As an update to the notice disseminated on 02/06/2026, AESAN reports that, according to the responsible company, the product "Delicias de Galleta María", with an expiration date of 30/06, contains, in addition to almonds, egg not reflected in the labeling.

The origin of this information lies in the company's own internal controls, which has notified the competent authorities of the problem, thus complying with current regulations and with the aim of preventing unsafe food from reaching consumers.

The affected food is called "Delicias de galleta María", brand La Lechera, marketed in packages of 2 units of 125 grams each, and with expiration date/batch 30/06.

According to the available data, the product has been distributed throughout practically the entire national territory. This information has been communicated through the Coordinated System for Rapid Information Exchange (SCIRI), so that the withdrawal of the implicated batches from all points of sale can be verified.

As a preventive measure, AESAN urges people allergic to almonds or eggs who have this dessert in their homes to refrain from consuming it. The Agency emphasizes, in any case, that the consumption of the product poses no danger to those who do not have these allergies.
