A minor has lost his life and two other people have been injured in an airstrike attributed to Saudi Arabia over the district of Baqim, in the province of Saada, in northern Yemen, according to the Yemeni official agency Saba, under the control of the Houthis. Among the injured from the bombing recorded in the town of Bani al Harith are a man and a woman.

The military spokesman for the Houthis, Yahya Sari, has stated that 119 incursions by fighter jets that took off from the Saudi bases of Jamis Mushait and Taif have been counted, with targets in the provinces of Al Jauf, Taiz, Saada, Marib, Lahj, Al Baida, and Ibb.

"The total number of air and missile attacks from the Saudi aggression since the escalation against our country began amounts to 2,177," Sari explained.

The forces loyal to the Yemeni authorities recognized by the international community announced on October 4 the start of a large-scale offensive to recover the areas recently taken by the Houthis and even advance towards the capital, Sana'a, controlled by the rebels since 2014, with the support of the international coalition led by Riyadh.

For their part, the Houthis launched an offensive on September 3 in areas of the provinces of Taiz and Hodeida, with which they achieved significant territorial gains, including the city of Mocha and the surroundings of the Bab el Mandeb strait, which dealt a heavy blow to the internationally recognized government, which on Monday claimed to have regained control of these last areas.

In recent days, the escalation of the conflict has also led to attacks by the Houthis against Saudi civilian airports, such as the one recorded on October 10 at Riyadh International Airport, in which twelve people died and which has forced the facilities to close until next Saturday.
