The legislative elections held this Sunday in Armenia have concluded at 8:00 PM (6:00 PM in mainland Spain) with the closing of all polling stations, on a day that registered a turnout of 58.97%.

According to data released by the official Armenian news agency, Armenpress, which cites the Central Electoral Commission, 1,476,597 registered voters have gone to the polls out of a total census of 2,503,976 people listed in the official registry.

After closing, the country's 2,005 polling stations have begun the counting procedure for the ballots cast during the day.

At the same time, the prosecutor of the Department for Supervision of Legality and Investigation of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Armenian Prosecutor General's Office, Tsovak Mnatsakanyan, has reported that 425 complaints have been received for alleged offenses linked to the development of the electoral process.
