The Israeli Army has ended the operation begun eleven days ago in Hebron, one of the main cities of the West Bank, triggered after the shooting attack in which two Israeli soldiers were killed.

The official Palestinian news agency Wafa and Israeli military sources cited by the "Times of Israel" have reported the withdrawal of the troops from the neighborhoods of Al Jalda and Ain Dir Baha and the gradual return of residents to their homes.

According to the data collected by Wafa, the Israeli incursion has caused the displacement of more than 3,300 people, in addition to the demolition of 15 houses, various facilities and infrastructure, as well as the interruption of the school year.

The Hebron City Council has indicated that the offensive forced the closure of 327 businesses in the city, while the direct daily economic losses resulting from the aggression exceeded 12 million shekels (some 3.5 million euros).

Local authorities estimate the damage to infrastructure at six million shekels (around 1.5 million euros) and calculate that the losses in the health and environmental sectors reach 500,000 shekels (about 150,000 euros).

Around 80,000 students, both boys and girls, have been prevented from attending class for ten days because of the Israeli military operation, according to the municipality's report.
